Welding
a) FCAW
This type of welding is characterized by the joining of an electrode with flux materials and results in the characteristics of this process. It may include a shielding gas, which resembles, but also distinguishes it from other welding processes such as MAG and MIG. The joining of metallic materials is achieved thanks to the movement of the electrode on its surfaces, in addition to integrating a wire that differentiates it from others by having an internal flux that stabilizes the arc when the chemical components are adjusted in the weld puddle.
b) GMAW
This welding process, also known as continuous arc welding under gaseous or inert metal gas protection, is a process that requires automatic feeding by an electrode protected by an externally supplied gas. The acronym GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) refers to the protection of the environment through inert or active gases.
c) SAW
Submerged arc welding (SAW) is suitable for plate thicknesses between 2 and 100 mm and is typically used in the heavy metal industry.
d) SMAW
Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) is the process in which two metals are joined by means of localized fusion, produced by an electric arc and a metal electrode, and the base metal to be joined.
