Certifications

The certifications issued by the different institutes and associations related to the steel industry function as audits that regulate the companies dedicated to commercializing this material and guarantee the quality of their products and services.

TEMSA, as a structural steel company, has the most important certifications granted by recognized institutes in the United States and Mexico, which allows us to operate in these countries, as well as in the Caribbean, Central and South America.

Certification
These are some of the certifications we have:
American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC):
This certification is granted to companies that fabricate and build with structural steel. It focuses primarily on companies involved in the erection of steel structures for buildings, bridges and roadways in general. The AISC works in collaboration with government agencies, legislators and other interested parties to promote policies and regulations that support the growth and development of the industry.
Steel Joist Institute (SJI):
The SJI extends its certification to steel joist companies. This organization works in coordination with the government and companies to establish structural integrity standards for these materials. In addition to specifications, this certification includes load and weight tables for current joist series, as well as a list of the infrastructure and equipment necessary to manufacture them with the appropriate quality and workmanship.
American Welding Society (AWS):
Founded in 1919, the AWS focuses on the scientific and technological advancement of joining and cutting processes used throughout the world, including different types of welds and thermal spraying. The main objective of the AWS is to facilitate the development of welds.
Mexican Institute of Steel Construction (IMCA):
This certification is a benchmark of quality in the manufacture of steel structures for construction. IMCA's objective is to promote and disseminate advances in steel structure technology and research in order to train expert technical teams in the field. TEMSA was the first company to be certified in Mexico and is now a member of the IMCA's certifying council.
Houston Public Works:
These certifications support the quality of our products and services, guaranteeing our customers that we comply with the most demanding international standards and regulations in the structural steel industry.
